I often get asked: “How do you make a decision about something when you’re really attached to the outcome?”
I find myself in this position quite a lot. Using your intuition to make a decision about something really important to you is tricky, because you’re not being given cold, hard facts, you’re making a decision based on a feeling and with what feels like completely blind faith.
It’s tricky because whatever decision you make intuitively, you don’t often know the outcome or the bigger picture of that decision. You can’t see around that corner to see what’s coming!
So this is where building a good, trusting relationship with your intuition is important.
Here’s an exercise to get you started:
1. Sit somewhere comfortable, take a few deep breaths. 2. Now, what you’re going to do next is breath in and ask yourself the question you want to be answered, and as you exhale listen for the answer.
Go with the response you get within a split second of asking, because your logical brain kicks in ever so quickly and will make you doubt yourself! The split second response is your intuition.
Try it on, play around with it, see what happens!
I’d love to know what comes up for you.
